Learning Anorak Ltd is a loose association of independent L&D professionals who are passionate and committed both to learning and to learners. We have worked with and for a wide range of organisations across the full learning cycle. We have also covered most bases:

We are enthusiastic and driven. Our watchword is learner empowerment, and we are always on the lookout for ways in which to enable the individual to take greater ownership of their own learning journey. Our experience ranges far beyond the usual understanding of L&D and includes audience analysis, change implementation and user acceptance testing (UAT).

We firmly believe that everyone enjoys learning new things, but that most of us have had enough negative experiences of learning to cause us to lose sight of that love. Our aim is re-ignite that passion!

About Karyn

The company was established by the original learning anorak of the title, Karyn Romeis, a learning and development (L&D) professional with more than 20 years’ experience in the field.

Karyn started her career as a drama teacher and performer before drifting into training and finding her true vocation.

She is a highly motivated independent learner who practices what she preaches, using a wide range of free tools for her own lifelong learning journey. She has a global reputation in the field as a forward thinking enabler with a passion for the ultimate consumer of workplace learning resources: the employee.

She is an international speaker and writer with a Master’s degree in Education. For her Master’s dissertation, she researched the use of social media for workplace learning.
